Involved with the implementation of Saturn’s multi-century project specializing in rate management.  This project dealt with the conversion of foreign currency to other currencies.  This project was located in Springhill, Tennessee.  Did the analysis for this project and coded the Cobol Sub-Routines to access the DB2 Tables to convert currencies.  Performed the initial time estimated for the Y2K conversions for Saturn.

Was involved in the BOBA-933 retrofit of STANFINS-C as a development specialist.  Was involved in the conversion of COBOL software to modify file formats and logical code to meet customer standards.  As the project leader for Data Flow project he organized teams and monitored the projects progress implementing standards, and assigned work to the team members.  He also supported the individual team leaders with liaison services to management.

Wayne, Indiana.  Worked with UNIX and DB2.  Created JCL and Procs for production runs to generate DBS files and reports.

Designed, programmed and implemented the PC base personnel system utilizing MicroFocus COBOL.  Daily tasks include producing all court documents from a batch system with a heavy emphasis placed on programming in a large-scale environment.  The maintenance of the VSAM files and the insurance of their integrity were also his responsibility.  The systems include the online information systems, and answering request for various agencies and corporations for programming services.  The maintenance of the logical integrity of mainframe batch systems and programs, and programming new applications for court source management, and programming reports on a request basis are common daily practices. The maintenance of the NOVELL networks and installation of equipment was the smallest part of his responsibilities.  Worked with the user community, meeting user requirements, and designing solutions for their problems.  Researched new tools and techniques, and minor equipment and repair services.

Procured equipment and software tools for clients.  Designed and programmed custom programs to do various office functions.  Did the selling involved in obtaining clients.  Wrote a PC based process control system to operate a manufacturing facility.

He was responsible for the program maintenance of the on-line unemployment system, the Trade Readjustment Act, and the daily system of reports and UI check production.  He was involved in the programming of reports for the governor’s office as well as writing programs for information to broadcasting companies and parents for the Child Support agency in Arkansas.

Given systems to program for outside companies by whom the school was paid.  In essence he was a contract programmer for the school, and it paid him by providing an education. Wrote the CICS Fixed Asset programs.
